Restorative dentistry is just as important as any other aspect of dental care and just as effective in beautifying your smile. At Proffitt Dentistry, we provide biomimetic dental restorative services to residents of Maryville, Tennessee, and surrounding communities. Biomimetic dentistry is considered tooth conserving dentistry as your dentist tries to preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible when performing restorative treatments. Retaining your natural teeth in our treatments will help maintain the beauty of your smile.
Biomimetic dentistry can treat many dental issues, including weak teeth, chipped or cracked teeth, broken teeth, and teeth damaged by decay. After assessing your situation, Dr. William Proffitt will recommend ways to repair the damage while still preserving the healthy structure of your natural teeth.
Biomimetic treatments entail using biocompatible tooth-colored bonding material to make needed repairs on your teeth. This same material will reinforce your teeth to prevent further breakage and protect them from further decay. Through biomimetic dentistry, Dr. Proffitt can restore the health, function, and beauty of damaged natural teeth so you can continue to enjoy their use for many years to come.
One of the most significant benefits of tooth conserving dentistry is that it helps preserve natural teeth by restoring their health and usefulness. This advanced dental technology is:
By including as much of your natural tooth structure as possible in our treatments, your restorations will look, feel, and function like your real teeth. The life-like results from our biomimetic treatments will be most noticeable in your smile, as it will be as natural as possible. With proper care, you can enjoy the life-changing benefits of biomimetic restorative dentistry for years.
