Tooth loss can be devastating. It can impact the smile’s function, appearance, and health in a single day. However, there are prosthetic tooth replacement options that can restore your smile and help you enjoy all your favorite foods, and boost self-confidence and self-esteem. A popular option at Proffitt Dentistry of Maryville, Tennessee, is cosmetic dental implants.
Dr. William F. Proffitt describes dental implant restorations as prosthetic tooth replacement solutions designed to last a lifetime with proper care and attention. These restorations are designed to restore the smile’s function, beauty, and health in various ways, making them the most popular choice for many of our patients.
Dental implants have several advantages that make them an excellent solution for many of our patients at Proffitt Dentistry. Dental implants:
The process of placing a prosthetic replacement tooth, such as a dental implant, starts with a consultation to evaluate the patient’s natural bone and determine if the placement of an implant would be successful. In some cases, bone grafting might be recommended to build up the area and prepare it for placement. Once the area is determined to be appropriate for an implant, patients schedule oral surgery for the placement of the prosthetic.
